The Great Wheel

We just read a fabulous book.

The Great Wheel by Robert Lawson is an historical fiction novel centered around the invention of the ferris wheel.  It's a book that dares you to dream!

So, afterwards we bought the K'Nex ferris wheel kit and assembled our own.  It was fun learning to work as a team just as those in Lawson's book.  It was interesting how after the initial foundation was finished only one child continued to work through the hard part of the project.  JL is a determined kid!  He persevered when no one else would.
